Who am I?

Progress, not perfection.

Everything you’ll read here can change.
If a year from now I look back and realise I haven’t changed for the better, something went wrong.

Who’s Shaping Me

The people whose ideas guide me through life:

  • Sabina Wardęga (my significant other)
  • Derek Sivers · Mark Manson · Morgan Housel · Naval Ravikant · Elon Musk
  • Tim Ferriss · Marcus Aurelius · Robert Greene · Seneca
  • Anthony de Mello · Will Storr · Scott Adams · Charlie Munger · JL Collins
  • …and many more who challenge how I think and live.

My Ideal Day

A few hours of deep work.
A solid workout.
Learning something new.
A meaningful conversation.

Life Reflections

Approaching my 40th birthday, I realized there are still about 40 more years ahead.
Looking back at the first mountain of my life, I feel that climbing the second one can be a much deeper experience. Completely designed by me.

I call myself a boring person because I don’t enjoy staying out late, attending parties, or talking about what’s on TV.
I appreciate being left alone. But when I do have a conversation, I want to listen. Everyone has something to teach me.

My Life Philosophy

Montaigne had “What do I know?” “Que-sais je?” painted on the beams of the ceiling..
I ask myself that often — it keeps me humble.
I walk through life trying to think like a Stoic.

My attitude to money

My best spending is saving.
My best investment is my significant other.
“F*** you”, money — that’s the goal. To stop thinking about money and just do my thing.
I invest regularly in the S&P 500.
I prefer spending on others rather than myself — giving makes me feel good.

I like working alone.

In the past, being separated from your tribe meant danger.
Today, I prefer to work solo — without distractions.
I don’t like meaningless small talk; it might seem like I’m indifferent, but I actually yearn for a deeper connection.
Don’t ask me “How’s it going?” — ask me “What are you reading lately?” or “What project excites you right now?”

I discovered my interest in technology late in my life.

I want to be tech-independent.
To get there, I’m learning everything needed to understand the big picture.
I want to build, destroy and fix. Learning by doing.
Technology is a great, ever-changing field that teaches structural thinking.

I’m a minimalist.

Distinguishing between what I need and what I want is the essence of minimalism.
I don’t need to keep up with the Joneses.
I don’t express myself through possessions.

More about me:

I’m from Poland, live in Belgium, and work in the Netherlands.
I hold a “hero” title from my significant other — my most precious achievement so far.
I’m a bit fitter than average.
I coach CrossFit.
I love cats — I have three sphynxes — and a little Pomeranian I adore.
I hate wasting time.
I try to live in time blocks: every hour should have a purpose — learning, earning, or relaxing.
